Graduates are qualified to independently plan, deliver and evaluate programmes of prevention, detection, diagnostics and treatment for people with various impairments and disorders, to manage institutions and professional services, to act as expert witnesses and to take part in teamwork — and to continue to doctoral studies.
The Faculty runs three doctoral programmes: Special Education (Defectology), Speech and Language Pathology, and Special Education and Rehabilitation of People with Intellectual Disabilities. On completing the studies and defending the doctoral dissertation, candidates obtain one of the titles:
- Doctor of Special Education (Defectology)
- Doctor of Science — Speech and Language Pathology
- Doctor of Science — Special Education and Rehabilitation
A doctor of science is competent for independent research across the fields of impairments and disorders, for scientific writing and participation in research projects, and for the scientific interpretation of new findings.
