Ranking of candidates

Per the general requirements of the call, including the grade average and length of study at the previous levels.

Each programme has a doctoral level with its own research focus.

The road to the dissertation

Three years, from coursework and methodology to the public defence of the doctoral dissertation.

First year

60 ECTS

Compulsory and elective courses, research methodology, and choosing the field of research.

Second year

60 ECTS

Choosing a supervisor, proposing and approving the dissertation topic, the research ethics assessment, and the start of independent work.

Third year

60 ECTS

Conducting the research, publishing results in journals and at conferences, and writing and publicly defending the dissertation.

On completing 180 ECTS and defending the dissertation you gain the academic title of Doctor of Science.

Research work covers running scientific projects, as well as publishing and permanently archiving the results of that work.
